You may be asking why I am looking for a planner now and not at the beginning of the school year. Here’s the answer: I’m having a crisis. More likely, I fell in love with a perfect planner but it lost many awesome points by being a December-December planner and not operating under the academic year, August-August. I thought I could make it through the term by using my Blackberry to keep my life in check, but its falling short. I love the little guy, but he just can’t give me the satisfaction of physically crossing things of my list.
Yesterday I found my high school iPod tucked away in a purse I rarely use. Personally, I feel like music is one of the quickest memory triggers. This (at the time) cutting edge (original) iPod nano currently holds a lot of emotions. It reminds me of a time when I thought The O.C. was the most important thing to do with a Tuesday night, when mixed CD’s made a good gift, and when I thought the lyrics of Jimmy Eat World could make everything okay-well, at times I still choose to believe it. But what this magical 500 song playlist makes me realize is that I had some pretty decent music taste as a 17 year-old. Now that I am 22, hopefully I can use this re-gifted playlist and remember what it was I wanted when I was young(er).
